We Help Companies Get Compensation Right

What we get paid at work has a massive impact on our lives, and it’s one of the biggest factors in hiring and retaining talent - and yet so many companies struggle to get it right. They simply have no choice but to rely on poor data and unsophisticated tools for their pay decisions. That’s why we created Ravio.

We help many of the world’s most innovative and ambitious companies build stronger teams and reach their goals through better compensation. Our real-time data platform brings compensation into the modern age, tracking the market across all compensation types from salary to equity and benefits. We’re passionate about ensuring everyone is paid what they deserve, no matter their background or circumstances. We believe that when compensation is done right, everyone wins.

Ravio is growing fast, which means you can too. We’ve established ourselves as the European leader in our space serving more than 1,200 clients, and now have our sights set on becoming the global go to place for compensation data and tools for managing compensation.

Joining a startup and scaling it into a global product is one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences a career can offer. If that sounds exciting to you, you’re in the right place.

The role

As the first hire in our Growth Engineering team, you'll form a new function and play a pivotal role in growing Ravio. You'll be at the intersection of engineering, data, marketing, sales, and customer success, focusing on projects that directly impact our key growth metrics - from initial user acquisition to product activation, retention, and revenue expansion.

You'll work across our entire commercial and product stack to optimise and build solutions that improve conversion throughout the customer journey, while empowering our go-to-market teams with reliable data, tools, and automations. This is a rare opportunity to shape and implement the growth strategy of a small and rapidly growing company.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the technical implementation of our growth strategy, working closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and product teams
  • Ideate, design and implement growth experiments across our customer journey
  • Create automation tools that enhance sales efficiency and customer outreach
  • Establish the technical foundation for future growth initiatives and team expansion
  • Create data pipelines and visualisation tools that empower our go-to-market teams with actionable insights
  • Analyse user behaviour data to identify opportunities for feature enhancements that drive adoption
  • Champion a data-driven, experimental approach to growth across the organisation

You’ll be a good fit for this role if you have

  • 5+ years of experience in technical growth and/or software engineering roles with a focus on driving business impact
  • Full-stack development skills - comfortable working across the entire technology stack, and happy working with unfamiliar technologies, too
  • Experience building customer-facing features that directly impact measurable growth
  • Strong data literacy with the ability to design experiments, analyse results, and make data-driven decisions
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities independently
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal direction
  • Comfort shipping MVP products when experimenting, and building them for scale later
  • Passion for solving complex problems with pragmatic, solutions

If you don’t have all of the above we’d still love to hear from you if you believe you have what it takes and can substantiate it with your previous work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Startup experience as a technical co-founder, early engineer, or in growth-focused roles
  • Familiarity with the tools that marketing and sales teams work with, including automation, personalisation, and analytics
  • Familiarity with B2B enterprise sales cycle metrics and processes

Why Join Our Growth Engineering Team?

Ravio’s growth as a company is driven by a network effect, so this is a particularly exciting and high impact place to be a Growth Engineer. You’ll be responsible for playing a critical part in our mission to scale Ravio globally, building playbooks and tactics that work at scale, while adapting them for new verticals and geographies.

We’re at an exciting stage with our core product at product-market fit, and new modules in the 0-1 stage. Similarly our core GTM is already high-performing and in a strong place for refinement, while there is a lot of new entirely GTM that we want to build and experiment with.

So far, our growth engineering implementation has been founder-led - we recognise it’s time to find someone who can do it a whole lot better than we can.

A final note - we have just opportunistically hired a junior growth engineer, but make no mistake - this role is us looking for someone to come in and lead the function from scratch. You’ll have a teammate and direct report from day one.

Why Join Ravio?

  • Opportunity to be a critical team member in a high-growth startup.
  • Blend of IC work and leadership, giving you both hands-on impact and career growth.
  • Remote-friendly, flexible work culture with a high degree of ownership.
  • Work on meaningful problems that help people get paid fairly and competitively in their careers.

  • £85,000 - £115,000 salary
  • Company ownership (everyone gets a meaningful equity stake in Ravio)
  • 37 days paid time off (25 days holiday + 4 wellness days + 8 public holidays)
  • Up to 6% pension matching scheme
  • £60 a month wellness allowance (Invest in your physical wellbeing, on us)
  • Private healthcare cover (on a medical history disregarded basis) with AXA
  • Personal worldwide travel insurance - just in case
  • Income protection insurance (for full peace of mind in case you cannot work because of sickness or disability)
  • 16 weeks fully paid birthing parent leave, followed by 4 weeks at 50% pay. For non-birthing parents, we offer 8 weeks fully paid leave.
