About Net World Sports

Net World Sports aims to become the world's leading sports equipment retailer. We're building a team of talented people who want to do great work and grow with a fast-moving business.

About the role

As Lead Graphic Designer, you'll lead visual design across our digital storefronts, brand campaigns and commercial packaging. You'll turn commercial goals into strong creative work, build and maintain scalable Figma design systems, prepare technical print artwork, and bring generative AI tools into everyday design production.

What you’ll be doing
  • Design systems, digital and packaging
  • Building, scaling and managing Figma component libraries, responsive grids and design tokens across digital, marketing and print
  • Turning campaign briefs into complete visual suites across e-commerce, performance marketing, retail packaging and point-of-sale
  • Overseeing packaging and print pre-press, including cutter guides, material specifications and CMYK and Pantone colour profiling
  • Setting the visual hierarchy and asset standards for category landing pages, balancing design with user journeys, accessibility and conversion rate optimisation (CRO)
Leading the team
  • Building strong working relationships across the design team and wider business
  • Giving day-to-day guidance and creative direction to designers, and helping remove blockers
  • Supporting team growth through regular feedback, mentoring and knowledge sharing
  • Leading with empathy and good judgement, adapting your approach to different people and building an inclusive, supportive team
Workflow and operations
  • Bringing generative AI tools, including Claude Design and node-based workflows such as ComfyUI, into daily design work to cut repetitive tasks and speed up asset production
  • Managing sprint allocation, request prioritisation and team capacity so work across departments arrives on time and to a high standard
What you’ll bring
  • A track record of leading visual projects, mentoring designers or setting design direction within an e-commerce brand, commercial design team or creative agency
  • A portfolio showing lead-level work across digital design systems, multi-channel campaigns and commercial packaging
  • Practical experience using generative AI tools, including Claude Design and ComfyUI, to streamline production
  • Expert knowledge of Figma (auto-layout, component variants, design tokens) and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Strong knowledge of packaging artwork, cutter guides, print manufacturing tolerances and pre-flight checks
  • A good understanding of UX principles, CRO and digital marketing performance, and the confidence to explain design decisions to commercial stakeholders
What’s on offer
  • 29 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing with length of service
  • Flexible working hours
  • Health and wellbeing support, including workouts, run club, nature trail, wellness allowances, gym and golf memberships, and mental health support
  • Bonus and commission schemes, plus rewards for performance, length of service and life events
  • Subsidised on-site bistro serving fresh breakfast and lunch every day
  • Discount on Net World Sports and affiliate partner products
  • Help to Buy, Cycle to Work and discounted travel schemes
  • Saving schemes, legal and financial advice, and parental guidance
  • Regular social events, including parties, sports tournaments and charity events
  • Table tennis, pool tables and sports equipment in the office
