Job summary

Routes to Work in Scotland seeks a skilled Lead Hand/Glazier to join its production team in Cumbernauld. You will lead glazing operations, ensure schedules and quality standards are met, and mentor junior colleagues on a daily basis.

The role requires proven glazier experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to quality and safety. You will work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, in a well‑established, workplace that values professional growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a glazier, preferably in the uPVC window and door industry.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Commitment to high quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet production targets under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the glazing team on a daily basis.
• Ensuring production schedules and quality standards are achieved.
• Glazing uPVC windows and doors to a high standard.
• Training and mentoring team members.
• Identifying and resolving production issues.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed.
• Proven experience as a glazier, preferably within the uPVC window and door industry.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience would be advantageous.
