Job summary

NUVIA, a VINCI subsidiary, is seeking an embedded Lead Geotechnical Engineer within the STEP Design Authority to define and assure the geotechnical design basis for the STEP Prototype Plant. You will guarantee foundation performance, ground stability and soil-structure interaction for safety-classified and non-safety structures under normal, seismic, extreme and faulted conditions.

Responsibilities

• Define geotechnical design basis coherent for safety case and DCO
• Identify ground hazards and mitigate across lifecycle
• Assure foundation/earthworks for heavy nuclear structures
• Integrate geotechnical data into STEP digital twin
• Produce geotechnical evidence packs for regulatory scrutiny
• Support safety case authors with defensible arguments
• Interface with civil, structural, seismic, safety, CDM teams
• Identify geotechnical risks and support optioning to reduce uncertainty
