About the role

As an Infrastructure Architect at Devoteam G Cloud UK, your mission is to help our existing customers get the best out of Google Cloud by:

• Take responsibility for delivery to ensure successful implementation of projects to the client’s satisfaction
• Proven experience in delivering complex technical designs and architectures
• Design and deliver architectures which are fit for purpose, assessing the customer requirements and constraints
• Creating solution architecture and technical design documents
• Participate actively in further development of frameworks, service concepts, service domains and products in the company
• Assist in sales to new and existing customers
• Actively contribute to continuous learning for yourself and coaching colleagues
• Ability to roll sleeves up and help with solving problems and working alongside a team
• Stay up to date with current certifications

What we are looking for

• You have a computer science degree
• You demonstrate ample individual delivery experience working with Google Cloud Platform
• You have two or more Google Cloud Certifications:
  • Associate Cloud Engineer
  • Professional Cloud Architect
  • Professional Developer
  • Professional Security Engineer
  • Professional Network Engineer
• You have extensive, hands-on experience with App Modernisation, Cloud DNS, Cloud SQL, Cloud VPN, Containerisation, Identity Services, GCE, GKE, Linux, firewalls, networking, security, serverless and Windows
• You are familiar with DevSecOps, CI/CD tools and technologies such as Git, Jira, Ansible, HashiCorp Terraform and Policy as Code
• You can document the technical design by clearly identifying the components of the platform
• You can build relationships with customers on all levels, influence their long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor
• You can qualify and assist customers in identifying use cases suitable for Google Cloud Platform & other Google technologies' deployment, and articulate key differentiators
• You can optimise / reduce costs of through CUDs, rightsizing, re-architecting
• You work with your counterparts at Google as if they are your own colleagues
• You believe self-development is key to success
• You speak English as the main language
• You are expected to be in the London office 1 day / week plus additional time as required for client meetings / workshops / etc
• You are entitled to work (and live) in the United Kingdom. We do not sponsor visas.
