Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is seeking a Lead Gas Engineer to provide technical leadership across our gas servicing operations in Birmingham and the West Midlands. You will resolve complex repairs, gain access to properties, and mentor team members to deliver safe, efficient, customer‑focused services.

Reporting to the Heating Service Delivery Manager, you’ll support appointments with flexible hours and lead on technical best practices.

Qualifications

• Appropriate ACS gas qualifications required (e.g., CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, MET1, CPA1).
• NVQ Level in Plumbing/Heating/Ventilation or equivalent essential.
• Unvented hot water qualification.
• High competency diagnosing and repairing complex heating systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead gas servicing operations and resolve complex repairs.
• Mentor colleagues and drive technical excellence.
• Gain access to hard‑to‑reach properties and manage complex cases.
• Provide safe, compliant services and proactive customer support.
