Job summary

Cappagh Group is seeking an experienced Ganger to lead a small site team on wastewater projects in North London. You will remove interceptor traps and replace pipes while prioritising safety, quality, and clear communication with clients and the public.

The role requires confinement-space operations, traffic management, and diligent digital record-keeping. A valid UK driving licence and NRSWA are essential to ensure compliant site execution.

Qualifications

• Confined space certification required.
• NRSWA (Street Works) qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good verbal and written English communication.
• Experience in wastewater, drainage, or civil engineering.
• Ability to accurately complete digital job records and upload photographs.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove interceptor traps and install straight pipe replacements per project specs.
• Ensure work meets procedures, client requirements and industry standards.
• Carry out and oversee confined space operations safely and efficiently.
• Set up and maintain safe work sites, including traffic management where required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Complete site documentation accurately and upload information digitally.
• Take and upload site photographs to document progress.
• Liaise with clients, the public and stakeholders when required.
• Report site progress, issues and safety concerns to site supervisor/management.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment in good working order.
