Job summary

BFB Labs in London develops digital health products and evidence-based games, including Lumi Nova, to help youth manage mental health. We seek a Lead Game Developer to shape technical architecture, drive delivery across app stores, and balance new features with fixes for stability and engagement.

You will lead front-end and back-end game development, collaborate with a Full-Stack developer, and mentor a mid-level engineer to uphold robust coding standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Senior/Lead Game Developer role with mentoring experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Unreal Engine with C++ and Blueprints.
• Experience with Unity (C#) and cross-engine work as needed.
• Proven ability to release games on iOS/Android/Amazon environments.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, Jenkins, and multi-repo workflows.
• Strong collaboration with backend teams for data integration and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end client and server-side game feature development across iOS, Android, and tablets.
• Own architecture, coding standards, PR reviews, and mentor mid-level developers.
• Collaborate with Full-Stack team to integrate APIs and analytics routing.
• Manage automated builds across Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Plastic SCM, Jira.
• Oversee App Store submissions for Apple, Google, and Amazon stores.
• Optimize performance, memory management, and device profiling across devices.
