Job summary

Kinetic Games in Southampton is seeking an organised and experienced Lead Game Designer to lead content updates for Phasmophobia. You will translate the creative vision into cohesive gameplay experiences and guide the design team.

The role requires leading design discipline, owning key features from concept to release, mentoring designers, and collaborating with production and engineers. This hybrid role is based in Southampton; visa sponsorship is not available, and you must have the right to

Qualifications

• Expert understanding of Phasmophobia and a passion for horror and puzzle games.
• Previous experience as a Lead Game Designer or equivalent within a large development team.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or providing design direction to other designers.
• Strong experience designing multiplayer, horror, survival, or atmospheric gameplay systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the game design discipline, providing direction, support, and feedback to other designers.
• Own key gameplay features and systems from initial concept through implementation, iteration, balancing, and release.
• Review and provide feedback on design work to ensure it aligns with the game's creative direction and established design principles.
• Create and oversee clear, detailed, and actionable design documentation for cross‑discipline teams.
