Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to lead delivery across a high-performing team in the UK. The role focuses on scalable cloud-native SaaS platforms, with emphasis on clean code, design patterns, and secure architectures.

You will mentor a squad, shape system design, and drive production-ready features end-to-end, using modern tooling and AI-assisted development in a hybrid UK setup.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strong full stack development experience.
• 5+ years of JavaScript and TypeScript experience.
• Solid background in system design and scalable architectures.
• Experience building large, production SaaS platforms.
• Clean-code mindset including SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Experience in mature CI/CD and deployment environments.
• Commercial mindset when designing and delivering software.
• Excellent collaboration with stakeholders, proactive and visible.
• Interest in using AI to accelerate software development.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery across a high performing squad of 10+ developers.
• Contribute to solution design, system architecture and domain modelling.

• Break down requirements into epics and user stories with product managers.
• Develop and deliver production-ready code across the full stack.
• Maintain high quality, performance, security and maintainability.
• Support live systems post-deployment and monitor health.

Salary: £80,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong full stack development experience, ideally 10+ years


• 5+ years of JavaScript and TypeScript experience


• Solid background in system design and scalable architectures


• Experience building large, production SaaS platforms


• A clean-code mindset, including SOLID principles, design patterns and testable code


• Experience working in mature CI/CD and continuous deployment environments


• A commercial mindset when designing and delivering software


• Excellent collaboration skills and confidence working with stakeholders


• Interest in using AI to accelerate and improve software development


• Passion for performance, security and engineering best practice


• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience
