Job summary

Marex Group is seeking an experienced technical lead and full-stack software engineer in the UK. You will lead front-end and back-end development for Capital Markets - Equities, focusing on modernising the trading platform, on prem and cloud hosted apps, and secure, responsive desktop and web solutions.

You will guide architecture, DevOps, and cloud migration, mentoring team members and ensuring backlog alignment with agile practices.

Qualifications

• Engineering: C#, .Net, ASP.Net, React, JS/TS, HTML, CSS, SQL, WPF, Linux
• Tools/Infra: NodeJS, cloud/AWS, RabbitMQ, AMQ, Mongo, Bitbucket (Git), SQL/Server, Jira
• Design: API, HTTP/REST, JSON, micro-services and distributed systems
• SDLC: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, CI/CD, Automation First, BDD/TDD, DORA. Knowledge of Agentic AI / Context Engineering

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the London and Cheshire based Capital Markets - Equities development teams
• Design and code across proprietary applications and services for the Market Making and Trading platform
• Own quality of deliverables and assist the wider scrum team in accountability
• Collaborate with platform engineering to automate build and deployment
• Support replatforming and consolidation of legacy systems and cloud migration
• Act as Scrum Master and manage backlog, ceremonies and impediments
• Champion automated testing with SDETs to raise automation of quality control
