About Personio
At Personio, we’re building Europe’s leading all-in-one HR and payroll platform – and we’re not just thinking local, we’re thinking global. We exist to make people processes as effortless and scalable as possible for small and mid-sized businesses. And our Time & Money domain? That’s where the real work happens.
The Role: Lead Frontend Engineer – Time & Money Domain (London)
We’re looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to join our growing Time & Money domain, based out of our London office. This isn’t just another UI job – you’ll help craft elegant, intuitive experiences around working models, shift planning, time tracking, and more. It’s about making complex workflows feel easy, even joyful, for our users.
You’ll be joining a domain of over 60 engineers and contribute directly to a high-impact, high-growth area critical to Personio’s international ambitions. From flexible work schedules to compliance-heavy regulations across borders – you’ll be solving problems that actually matter.
What You’ll Do
Lead the Frontend Vision – Own frontend architecture for your team’s time-related features. Set the standards, drive consistency, and champion modern best practices.
Code Like a Pro – Write high-quality, maintainable code using TypeScript, React, and Redux. We’re also open to Angular if your fundamentals are solid and you pass our coding tests.
Mentor & Collaborate – Guide mid-level engineers, collaborate closely with backend devs, and work hand-in-hand with design and product to build seamless experiences.
Solve for Scale – Design and implement performant UIs that can handle complexity without compromising usability.
Drive Innovation – You’re not just here to build what’s asked – you’ll help define what gets built.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of frontend engineering experience, ideally building scalable, production-grade applications.
Strong command of TypeScript, React, Redux, and a real love for building intuitive user experiences.
Experience in architecting large frontend systems, preferably in product-led SaaS environments.
Confident working in cross-functional teams and contributing to product and UX decisions.
Bonus points if you’ve worked in FinTech, HRTech, or other compliance-heavy product spaces.
Why Time & Money at Personio?
Help shape one of the most important areas of Personio's platform.
Tackle meaningful problems that support our move into the mid-market and help manage labour law complexity across Europe.
Join a London-based team with a startup feel, but with the backing of one of Europe’s fastest-growing tech companies.
The Perks Bit
Competitive salary, pre-IPO equity, and benefits that actually benefit you.
28 days holiday (plus extra based on tenure), Impact Days to give back, and generous parental leave.
Flexible hybrid model – in the London office about 50% of the time, rest from wherever you’re happiest working.
A supportive, people-first culture with regular team socials and company-wide events.
