Job summary

St Christopher's is recruiting a Supervising Social Worker Recruitment Lead for the West Midlands region. You will lead the recruitment of foster carers, guide applicants through the assessment and approval process, and drive regional recruitment strategy to increase fostering households.

The role requires social work qualification, registration, and post-qualifying experience in family placement or related settings. Benefits include flexible working and extensive training opportunities.

Qualifications

• BA or Master’s in social work or Dip SW, CSS, CQSW.
• Social Work England/Scottish Social Services Council/Social Care Wales Registration.
• Post qualifying experience in family placement or related childcare settings.
• Proven track record with children and foster families using trauma-informed approaches.
• Experience of group work or delivery of training.
• Assessment of Foster Carers using BAAF Form F.
• Knowledge of recruitment and campaign delivery for foster carers.
• Knowledge of prospective carer assessment and the journey of a prospective foster carer.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation (Children’s Act 1989, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment of new foster carers and build relationships with applicants.
• Drive recruitment strategy across a region and possibly other regions as required.
• Increase number of fostering households through targeted approaches.
• Support assessment and approval process for foster carers.
