Job summary

Randstad Education in Luton is seeking a Lead First Aider / Medical Needs Co-ordinator for a 4-week temporary assignment starting immediately. This is a term-time role within a school environment.

You will deliver emergency first aid, manage IHPs and medications, maintain the medical room, log incidents in SIMS/CPOMS, and support safeguarding and pupil welfare. The post requires FAW or Paediatric First Aid, GCSE English and Maths, and an Enhanced DBS; Monday to Friday, 8:15am–3:15pm, on-site in

Qualifications

• Essential FAW or Paediatric First Aid qualification (3 days).
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Experience in school, healthcare, or care setting.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver immediate emergency first aid and triage to students, staff and visitors.
• Administer prescribed and OTC medications; oversee Individual Healthcare Plans.
• Maintain a hygienic medical room and manage emergency equipment.
• Log incidents in SIMS/Arbor/CPOMS and notify parents when needed.
• Support safeguarding and pupil welfare; report concerns to DSL.
