Job description

What Are We Looking For?

Our Electrical Operations team is seeking a Lead Field Engineer to join on a full-time, permanent basis, working across clean water and wastewater sites in Scotland. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for delegating all work on site, ensuring health and safety standards are met, work is completed to client standards, and communicating any future work needs on site.

Key Duties Include:
  1. Manage a team of trade operatives, apprentices, and sub-contractors, instructing and allocating work while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and safety.
  2. Complete site reports, testing, inspection sheets, deliver toolbox talks, and conduct regular site audits.
  3. Handle all practical trade-oriented work relevant to your trade.
  4. Liaise with external and internal contacts to ensure work meets customer specifications.
  5. Maintain all plant and equipment regularly.
  6. Complete and submit all administrative and documentation work per company and client procedures.
  7. Update Project Engineers/Managers on additional or future work required on site.
  8. Represent the company professionally, ensuring client satisfaction with the work carried out.
What Do You Need?
  • Time-served and fully qualified in an electrical trade.
  • 18th edition qualification (advantageous).
  • CompEx experience (advantageous).
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
