Job description

What Are We Looking For?

Our Electrical Operations team is looking for a Lead Field Engineer to join the department on a full time permanent basis working across clean water and waste water sites in Scotland. As a Field Engineer you’ll take responsibility of delegating all work on site while ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to and work is completed to client standards whilst motoring and communicating any future work needs on site.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

  • Manage a team of trade operatives, apprentices and sub-contractors, instructing and allocating work while ensuring quality, productivity and safety remains at a high standard.
  • Complete site reports, site testing and inspection sheets, deliver toolbox talks and ensure regular site audits are carried out.
  • Take responsibility on all practical trade orientated work which is appropriate to your own trade job description
  • Liaise with both external and internal contacts, ensuring all work is carried out within customer specifications
  • Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained regularly
  • Ensure that all administrative and documentation work is completed and returned in accordance with company and client procedures
  • Update Project Engineers/Managers accordingly with any additional or future work which may be required on site.
  • Ensure to act as a representative of the company at all time while ensuring the client is satisfied with the work carried out.

What Do You Need?

  • Time served and fully qualified in an electrical trade
  • 18th edition qualified would be advantageous
  • CompExexperience would be advantageous
  • Must be flexible and willing to travel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Full UK Driving Licence
