Role Description
Flourishing Families Assessment Centre is recruiting support workers for the role of Lead Family Practitioner in Reading. The centre specializes in Family Court directed Parenting Assessments. Responsibilities include:
- Working with the Registered Manager to ensure best practice and child-focused approaches
- Safeguarding children and families within the Assessment Centre
- Managing daily operations to ensure safety and wellbeing
- Building trusting relationships with children and families
- Supporting children and families holistically to achieve better outcomes
- Supporting a range of children with complex needs
- Serving as the main contact for families
- Coordinating actions based on assessments and plans
- Ensuring families understand processes and contribute to assessments
- Implementing and reviewing family plans regularly
- Coordinating practitioners to ensure consistent services
Additional Responsibilities
- Providing supervision and training for staff
- Delivering in-house training sessions
- Chairing weekly case review meetings
- Quality assurance of reports and documentation
- Participating in on-call duties outside of hours
- Preparing reports and attending multi-agency meetings
Person Specification
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Right to work in the UK
- Understanding of equal opportunities and social needs
- Good report writing and English skills
- Ability to travel; driving license preferred but not essential
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends
- Previous experience advantageous but not essential
