Job Title: Lead Fabric Maintenance Technician

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Lead Fabric Maintenance Technician to join the team located in London.

Role Summary:

  • Positively respond to both our internal and external customers through effective communication and personal accessibility. Understand and deliver customer needs while building effective relationships.
  • Be an ambassador of the CBRE values and behaviours. Ensure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
  • Actively participate in a diverse and effective team – attend all team meetings and partake in discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required. To include the active participation in a safe working environment.
  • Manage the supply chain, ensuring compliance with contractual commitments, QHSE processes and site operating procedures. Complete feedback on My Supplier.
  • Obtain supplier quotations, gain client approval and instruct suppliers to commence works. Do this whilst understanding and following the approved and preferred supplier procedure.
  • Ensure that that any subcontractor visits are booked in and completed by their due date and any remedial actions are quoted to the client and completed.
  • Ensure that the COSHH inventory for materials is up to date at all times and that there are current copies of all Risk Assessments and MSDS available on site, also signed and understood by the on-site team.
  • Ensure that the on-site team and specialist sub-contractors have the appropriate training and competencies required to carry out their duties. Ensure that any required training (both new and expired) is booked in a timely manner.
  • Support with the recruitment for any vacancies within the Fabric team, and provide feedback for performance reviews.
  • Learn and understand the contract and the specific requirements that need to be met, including but not limited to; visitor booking and escorting, change requests for IT controlled areas, contractor parking, and more.
  • Perform with an understanding of business requirements and changes, ensuring continuous improvement. Drive innovation and best practice with the team.


Experience Required:

Education:
  • A trade related qualification such as Carpentry, Electrical or Plumbing.


Skills / Training:
  • Awareness of Health & Safety obligations in Facilities Management Industry.
  • Knowledge of building services.
  • Recognised building fabric qualification.


Experience:
  • Experience of working in Corporate and Industrial Facilities Maintenance environment.
  • Reactive and planned fabric maintenance.


Aptitudes
  • Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent verbal, and good basic standard of written, communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and systematic.
  • Ability to work in a team, take initiative and work without supervision.
