Lead External Quality Assurer

NOCN Group is seeking to recruit a Lead External Quality Assurer to work on a permanent full-time basis as part of the Assessment and Quality Assurance team in Sheffield.

Purpose and Objectives:

Ensure the awarding organisation external quality assurance function:

  • Supports centres to achieve and maintain good and consistent practice in internal quality assurance, assessment and the conduct of examinations for all NOCN products.
  • Identifies and mitigates the risk of non-compliance and reports malpractice to the Regulation and Compliance Team.
  • Contributes to new centre approval and to the approval of existing centres to deliver new products.
  • Operates in line with policies, procedures, processes, systems and guidance set by the Regulation and Compliance Team and performs consistently to a high standard.
  • Promotes a positive perception of the awarding organisation to centres, learners, employers regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.
  • Supports apprenticeships end-point assessment and internal quality assurance as requested by the Head of Assessment and Quality Assurance.

And:

  • Manage own caseload of external quality assurance.

About you...

The successful candidate must meet the following 'must have' criteria:

  • Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent.
  • Educated to Level 4 or above.
  • Committed to continuing professional development.
  • External quality assurance qualification.
  • Experience of managing a team of mobile workers to achieve consistently high standards of performance.
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment.
  • Experience of working productively across teams.
  • Recent experience of undertaking external quality assurance.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
