ARM Lead Estimator Role - Glasgow

ARM has partnered with a large defence client seeking a Lead Estimator to join their team in Glasgow on a permanent basis.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the supply chain to understand key cost drivers and develop cost models.
2. Seek solutions that drive additional value.
3. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing departments to ensure effective cost management and control.
4. Ensure all costs and opportunities are collated, modelled, and normalised.
5. Drive end-to-end cost control and embed a cost management framework.
6. Influence across the supply chain to develop opportunities.

Requirements:

• Good understanding of analytical estimating techniques to challenge and review supply chain cost estimates.
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Capability to create, understand, and interpret complex cost models.
• Knowledge of procurement strategies and approaches.
• Ability to analyse different types of supplier pricing and contracts.
• Commercially focused background, e.g., estimating, quantity surveying, or cost management, is desirable but not essential.
