Lead Estimator, Mechanical Systems

Responsibilities include:
- Leading the estimation and proposal team.
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring engineering projects.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, QA/QC policies, and specifications.
- Interacting daily with clients to interpret their needs and representing them in the field.
- Performing quality control of work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel performance) and reporting regularly on project status.
- Assigning responsibilities and mentoring project team members.
- Collaborating effectively with project managers and other stakeholders to provide technical support.
- Reviewing engineering deliverables and initiating corrective actions as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Safely lifting, carrying, and moving objects of varying weights.
- Performing physical activities such as bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Working in diverse environmental conditions, including exposure to different temperatures, weather, and noise levels.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in estimation, bidding, or proposal processes for mechanical systems.
- Experience in at least three areas such as heavy equipment, processing equipment, pumps, hydraulics, machinery, manufacturing, pharma equipment, or automated systems.
- Possession of a P.E. license, Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with design and visualization software such as AutoCAD.
- Experience as a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, or Project Manager.
- Technical skills in at least two of the following: ERP systems, SCADA, PLCs, AutoCAD, SketchUp, MRP, CRM, MS Office, MS Excel, Google Docs.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and performance standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across different disciplines.
- Strong project management, supervision, decision-making, leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
