Seccl is an Octopus‑owned embedded investment platform with offices in London, Bath and Edinburgh. We are hybrid and value weekly in‑office presence.

We are seeking an engineering manager to lead a product engineering squad, partnering with the engineering director and product managers to deliver scalable platform capability. You will build a strong, inclusive team, coach engineers and maintain high standards while balancing delivery pace with security, resilience and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering squads in complex product or technology domains.
• Proven ability to hire, onboard, coach and develop engineers.
• Ability to balance people leadership with delivery accountability while staying close to technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead an inclusive, high‑performing engineering squad and coach engineers.
• Own delivery health from priorities to production readiness and maintainability.
• Partner with product managers to align work with customer, commercial and regulatory priorities.
• Guide technical decisions to build scalable, secure, resilient platform components.
• Use metrics and feedback to improve delivery predictability and team effectiveness.
• Recruit and onboard engineers and contribute to shared engineering practices.
