Lead Engineer (Solar)

UK Wide - Hybrid Position

£50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus + Progression + Pension + Excellent Holidays + Overtime

Are you an experienced Commercial Electrician with experience in the Solar O&M sector looking to transition to an 'off the tools' role?

Do you want an opportunity to progress your career within an international and well-renowned organisation?

This company provides specialist operations and maintenance to solar farms across Europe. Their portfolio has continued to grow and is expected to expand further, requiring highly qualified individuals to maintain industry-leading service.

In this role, you will provide remote support to the company's field-based engineers, assisting with complex fault finding and resolutions. There may be a requirement to attend sites for technical support on inverter-level failures that cannot be resolved remotely. You may also support international subsidiaries remotely with your expertise.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience installing and maintaining electrical systems on industrial sites. Proven experience in Solar O&M, with knowledge of inverter systems, communication protocols, and monitoring platforms, is advantageous. Experience in the Wind sector may also be considered.

The role:
* Remote support to field engineers for fault finding and resolution
* Inspection and reporting on operations across solar farms

* Fault finding on electrical components

The person:
* Experience in installing and maintaining electrical systems on industrial sites
* Experience in solar O&M and inverter systems knowledge
* Good understanding of single line diagrams and switchgear schematics
* Clean UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel between sites
