Lead Engineer Services - Contract Outside IR35

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Engineer to join our team on a contract basis outside IR35. This role is based in London and is a full-time position. The application deadline is June 28, 2025.

Responsibilities

1. Build high-impact web applications that support our core systems and generate business value.
2. Enhance our services with new APIs to improve performance and scalability.
3. Drive engineering excellence by shaping governance tools and guiding teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with React.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with C#.
• Experience integrating with services via RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with BFF architectural pattern and creating proxy layers using NodeJS, Serverless, or similar technologies.
• Strong testing experience covering code quality, security, customer journeys, and accessibility.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies.
• Experience designing and implementing high-quality cloud software solutions, preferably with Azure.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven systems.
• Practical experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions.
• Bonus: experience with event sourcing or knowledge of DDD.
