We are now recruiting for a Lead Engineer (Requirements Configuration) to join us on our major project located in Warrington
Purpose and Scope:
As Lead Engineer (Requirements Configuration), you will be responsible for various engineering tasks in the initial planning and design phase of projects. Under the direction of the Project Engineering Manager, you will interact with other disciplines, project support groups, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives as appropriate on an assigned project.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications, analyze, test, issue reports, and maintain related data.
Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
Prepare and review drawings as required.
Advise the Lead Project Engineer about the status of assignments concerning schedule, delays, and problems.
Ensure quality, quantity, and completeness of engineering tasks.
Plan and schedule engineering efforts related to the project.
Maintain accurate technical reports and keep proper engineering files and records.
Utilize and understand engineering software and applications.
Upgrade technical knowledge and pursue additional training.
Communicate ideas clearly and listen effectively.
Be familiar with codes, permits, and company applications.
Understand work sequences and generate specifications for materials, equipment, and systems.
Read and interpret construction drawings.
Integrate constructability concerns into engineering solutions.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience:
Degree qualified or HNC/HND in engineering discipline.
Experience in highly regulated industries.
Proven experience managing projects over £1 million.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing environments, with experience managing high-value projects.
Knowledge of nuclear site decommissioning and waste management.
You will be eligible for UK SC security clearance.
