Working across engineering, operations and programme functions, the team is responsible for developing innovative installation and delivery solutions that maximise the benefits of factory-built modules and support the efficient deployment of our SMR fleet.**The Opportunity**In this context, we are looking for a **Lead Engineer** - **Module Partner Development** to support our **Reactor Island Layout and Installations Senior Manager**. This is a strategically important role that will help shape our future module delivery model, developing the engineering scope, responsibilities and ways of working with our Module Partner organisation to enable successful programme delivery.**We'll need you to:*** Leading collaboration between Rolls-Royce SMR and our Module Partner organisation, aligning responsibilities, interfaces and ownership across a broad range of engineering activities.* Developing responsibility matrices, engineering processes and delivery models that support the transition into detailed design and future deployment phases.* Acting as a bridge between engineering, programme and operations teams, ensuring cross-functional topics such as commissioning, resource planning and organisational design remain aligned.* Driving planning, scope development and partnership maturity activities, whilst supporting technical, commercial and programme decision-making across the modules programme.* As you can see, this is a pivotal role within our business, and you'll bring a collaborative approach, systems-thinking mindset and first-class stakeholder management skills, as well as:**What we're looking for*** A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, alongside Chartered Engineer status or a commitment towards professional registration.* We'll ask about your experience developing engineering scope, delivery models and stakeholder alignment across complex programmes and organisational boundaries.* Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, stakeholder management, technical risk management and gated design review processes.* Experience developing schedules, managing programme delivery activities and communicating effectively across a wide range of technical and business stakeholders.**Location**We offer hybrid and flexible working but will expect regular attendance at one of our offices in **Derby, Manchester or Warrington**, alongside occasional travel to support workshops and partner engagement activities.**What's in it for me?*** We anticipate paying a salary of between £60,000-£78,750 DOE plus:-* Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%* Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package* Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.* Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 5 days.* Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care* Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay* £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchasesYou'll be joining a forward-thinking organisation that values transparency, fairness and innovation.
