Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Lead Engineer to oversee engineering operations across a portfolio of prestigious commercial buildings in the London Bridge area. You will lead and mentor the on-site team, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Lead Engineer, Shift Leader or Senior Engineer experience in Facilities Management.
• Strong knowledge of commercial building services and M&E maintenance.
• Experience managing subcontractors and ensuring site compliance.
• Familiarity with CAFM systems and maintenance reporting.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Proactive, organized approach with strong technical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead engineer on site, delivering planned and reactive maintenance.
• Provide day-to-day technical guidance to the on-site team.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors for maintenance and projects.
• Manage permit-to-work and review RAMS before works commence.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and statutory regulations.
• Monitor service delivery using CAFM systems and keep records up to date.
• Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and repairs across building services.
• Engage with client, occupiers and stakeholders to maintain service quality.
• Support small project works and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist the Account Manager with quotations and contractor management.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs to meet contractual obligations.
