Job summary

Carrington Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking a hands-on Lead Engineer/Lead Developer to steer a small development team across a portfolio of applications. The role combines leadership with active coding across C#, .NET, Python and React, in an Azure-based stack.

You will guide engineering standards, collaborate with Product and Architecture, and push delivery of production-grade solutions while embracing AI-native approaches. Mostly remote with occasional Manchester office visits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on full stack development with leadership experience.
• Experience with Azure PaaS and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to guide a small development team and set standards.
• Experience with AI-native engineering or GenAI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small development team across a portfolio of applications.
• Be hands on while also shaping delivery and engineering standards.
• Work with Product Managers and business teams to prioritise and allocate work.
• Deliver both strategic and tactical technology solutions.
• Apply modern DevOps and exploring emerging technologies such as AI/ML.
