The InVictus Group in Blackburn is seeking a Lead Engineer to head the site engineering activity, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered to the highest standard. This full-time, permanent role runs 37.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday.

You will oversee maintenance across the facility, mentor technicians, and provide engineering guidance to site management while upholding health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Part 3, ONC or NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Time-served apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• CSCS (or ECS) card at the appropriate level, compliance with site safety.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and ACOPs.
• Familiarity with L8 Legionella guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Lead on all site engineering activity, delivering planned and reactive maintenance.
• Provide routine and specialist maintenance support on site and breakdown response.
• Offer health, safety environmental support across the facility.
• Train and mentor site technicians and engineering assistants.
• Provide engineering advice to site management and foster a collaborative team culture.
• Lead by example to build a strong engineering team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer to join a well-established facilities and engineering team based in Blackburn. This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday Friday 07.00 - 15.00

The Role

You'll take the lead on all engineering activity across the site, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered to the highest standard while supporting and mentoring the wider engineering team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the prompt completion of all planned, reactive and remedial work orders

• Providing routine and specialist engineering maintenance and breakdown support on site

• Offering technical, health, safety and environmental support across the facility

• Training, mentoring and supporting site-based technicians and engineering assistants

• Providing engineering advice and support to site management

• Leading by example and helping build a strong, collaborative team culture

What You'll Need

• City & Guilds Part 3, ONC or NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Time-served apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical discipline

• CSCS card (or ECS card if electrically qualified) at the appropriate level

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and ACOPs

• Knowledge of L8 Legionella guidelines
