The Role

As aLead Engineer and Full Stack Developer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be joining a new team, where you will be responsible for leading the development of modular, high-quality, and scalable software applications that facilitate our customer use of our AI system stack.

Day-to-day, you’ll be leading a team of software engineers in the rapid development of AI focused applications. This will include the design and implementation of software solutions using a variety of technologies and frameworks, with a focus on cross-platform and modular code.

  • Manage code reviews and work assignments for the team in order to develop and maintain code for both front-end and back-end systems.
  • Collaborate with the chief technologist for AI, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define application specifications.
  • Test and debug software applications to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements, as well as deploy and maintain software applications in production environments.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Stay up to date on the latest software development trends and technologies for rapid application development.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home. However, you may be required onsite when the business demands.

Essential Experience of the Lead Engineer and Full Stack Developer

  • Significant years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
  • Proven years of experience leading a software engineering team.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
  • Experience with a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and databases.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications for the Lead Engineer and Full Stack Developer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
