Our Water company client is seeking a Lead Engineer with design/technical assurance experience in Water or relevant major projects to join their prestigious Havant Thicket Reservoir Project.
Key skills required for this role
Important
The reservoir is an environmentally-led project that will help safeguard internationally-rare rivers in Hampshire by providing an alternative, sustainable source of water.
In addition to protecting some of the county's rare river habitats, it will offer a new green leisure facility for local communities, wetland habitats for rehomed wildlife, and a visitor centre. It will be the first new reservoir built in the South East since the 1970s and is developed in collaboration with Southern Water, with a project scope valued at £340m (scope and value subject to increase).
The project will primarily be delivered through a main reservoir contract and two pipeline contracts, along with some additional related contracts. The candidates will join the existing project team working directly with the FutureWater joint venture and other partners. The project is expected to run until at least 2030, with potential extensions.
