Location: Birmingham

As part of the Automation Platforms function, this engineer role in the Event Management team will ensure we maintain our environments to meet new requirements related to risk and stability. You will join an existing team but will be positioned to lead on key deliverables that will benefit the stability and functionality of Event Management tooling.

This is a full-stack developer role. The successful candidate will analyze large quantities of raw data and transform it into meaningful insights to streamline and improve processes across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in a team making a significant impact through Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Automation.

Your key responsibilities

  • Developing Python-based microservices and APIs
  • Analyzing large datasets from various sources, both structured and unstructured
  • Identifying trends and patterns through data analysis and generating statistical insights
  • Translating complex technical data into understandable language and providing recommendations to stakeholders

Your skills and experience

  • Strong experience with Python and SQL, including microservice architectures and API development
  • Experience in creating and implementing ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development Life Cycle processes and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and collaborative communication abilities
