Job summary

The Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care will be clinically and educationally responsible for the Emergency Department under the direction of the Clinical Director. The post holder will manage day-to-day clinical care, participate in training and supervision of junior medical staff, and contribute to CPD and governance activities.

In exceptional circumstances, they may cover colleagues and assist in major incident response.

Qualifications

• GMC registration is required to practice in the UK.
• Active involvement in CPD and clinical governance within the department.
• Experience supervising junior medical staff and contributing to training activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinical care of patients in the Emergency Department.
• Supervise junior doctors and allied staff in daily practice.
• Participate in CPD activities, appraisals, and departmental governance.
