Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a consultant cardiologist with expertise in advanced electrophysiology and complex device implantation to join a 23-strong consultant team. The role covers tertiary and secondary cardiology services with a dedicated on-call schedule and teaching commitments.

The successful candidate will contribute to a comprehensive cardiology service and postgraduate education across NUH campuses, with opportunities for research and service development.

Qualifications

• Experience of VT ablation and knowledge of 3D mapping technologies.
• Involvement in clinical governance activities including audit and CPD.
• Active participation in teaching and supervision of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rota for non-interventional cardiology.
• Contribute to combined cardiac and cardiac surgical case meetings.
• Lead and support service development within cardiology delivery.
• Engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision.
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance and patient safety.
