Job summary

Sovereign Network Group seeks a Lead Electrician to cover Bristol, Gloucester, Wiltshire and Oxford areas. You will work with the Electrical Team, carrying out testing, repairs, and scheduled maintenance in customers’ homes while upholding health and safety standards.

A full-time role (40 hours) with travel, a van and fuel card provided, and opportunities for overtime. NVQ 3, 18th Edition and City & Guilds 2391 are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within Residential/Housing sector is ideal.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), 18th Edition (BS7671) and City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in customers' homes as part of the Electrical Team.
• Undergo responsive repairs and works within planned teams in line with work schedules and SNG procedures.
• Maintain a strong health and safety mindset in line with best practices.
• Estimate, requisition and procure materials and spares to ensure repairs and maintenance meet IEE wiring regs and Health & Safety at Work regulations.
• Record and report on status and condition of electrical services equipment via inspection sheets and installation certificates.

£37,620.00 - £45,980.00 Per year

We’re currently on the lookout for a qualified Lead Electrician to join our property services team covering the Bristol, Gloucester, Wiltshire and Oxford areas. You will be working closely with your Team and Technical Manager.

This role involves time on the road, so we will provide you with a van and fuel card .

As a Lead Electrician with SNG, we’ll ask you to:

• Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs inour customers’ homes as part of our Electrical Team
• Undergo responsive repairs and works within ourplanned teams in line with work schedules, Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations and to SNG’s established standard procedures.
• Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
• Estimate, requisition and recommend the acquisition of necessary materials and spares to ensure that appropriate satisfactory repairs and maintenance are carried out in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
• Apply your knowledge and skills to record and report on status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates.

Our Electricians must have relevant and up to date qualifications including:

What else do you need to know?

• This is a full-time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings!
• Due to a requirement to travel within this role, candidates must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years’ experience.
• This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check and a basic disclosure
• Our customers are at the heart of SNG, as a Lead Electrician you will be liaising with both internal and external customers
