Job summary

Ilmor Engineering Limited is seeking a Lead Electrical Technician to head a small team in the design and prototype manufacture of wiring harnesses for racing and production applications. You will also assemble and test electronic devices, and contribute to robust system reliability within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with DR25 system and motorsport wiring specifications.
• Proven ability to specify, assemble, test and operate test rigs (alternator, actuator, hybrid drive).
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent mentoring skills.
• Design and build prototype electronic circuits.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team in wiring harness design and prototype manufacture.
• Oversee assembly and test of electronic devices produced in-house.
• Test circuits and verify system reliability; report results to design teams.
• Specify, assemble, test and operate test rigs including alternator, electronic actuator, and hybrid drive rigs.
• Support electrical installation of engine test facilities and travel to remote sites as needed.
