Lead Electrical Technician

I am currently seeking a Lead Electrical Technician on behalf of my client, a leading designer and manufacturer of multi-stage ultrasonic cleaning and coating systems. Established in 1997, they supply cutting-edge solutions to a global customer base across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities of the Lead Electrical Technician

1. Assemble and wire electrical components, control panels, and machines.
2. Perform mechanical assembly work, including drilling and tapping machine frames, control boxes, and control panels.
3. Read and follow electrical schematics accurately.
4. Always ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
5. Identify and report any build process issues, such as part shortages or inaccurate drawings.
6. Manage and lead the electrical team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
7. Work closely with the Operations Director, lead mechanical technician, and engineers to ensure designs are correctly implemented.
8. Communicate any required design changes effectively and in a timely manner.
9. Recruit, train, and supervise team members, fostering continuous development.

Requirements of the Lead Electrical Technician

1. Proven experience in electrical assembly, wiring, and team leadership.
2. Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
3. Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly tasks.
4. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
5. Good time management, flexibility, and ability to adapt to project needs.
