Job summary

Alexander Associates seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to own the electrical scope across multiple major water frameworks in the UK. You will lead technical delivery, manage teams and ensure high-quality outputs across all design and delivery stages.

You will coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces, support project teams, and liaise with DNOs and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with UK standards. This is a long-term contract outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Control Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (or working towards).
• Experience with UK standards and regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the electrical engineering scope across multiple projects.
• Manage schedules, MDRs, change control, reporting, and technical coordination.
• Delegate and oversee work packages within the electrical team.
• Support estimating activities including CTR development.
• Provide technical leadership across all deliverables, incl. design documents and schematics.
• Prepare requisitions for HV/LV equipment and review supplier quotations.
• Develop installation scopes of work and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with DNOs and external stakeholders; support HV modelling.
