Job summary
Hoare Lea in the UK is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead design delivery on significant, complex building services schemes from inception to completion, coordinating the internal delivery team.
Based in Plymouth or Exeter, you will work with multidisciplinary engineers across sectors such as residential, hospitality and commercial, develop client relationships, manage risk, and deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions with hybrid working.
Qualifications
- Chartered status preferred or evidenced professional registration.
- Experience leading design teams on complex building services projects.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical/building services design and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design delivery for significant and complex building services schemes from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with internal delivery teams and external consultants to ensure technically excellent designs.
- Represent Hoare Lea at client and project meetings and promote the firm’s services.
- Monitor project costs, schedule, and quality to support profitable delivery.
