Overview

Are you ready to take on a high-profile engineering role that supports the UK's energy security and transition to a sustainable future? We are looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join the Asset Support and Outage Excellence Team, working across advanced power stations and gas storage facilities.

Role

You will play a key part in leading and delivering projects, outages, and maintenance activities, ensuring assets perform safely, efficiently, and reliably. From troubleshooting electrical systems to defining technical scopes of work and managing contractors, you will be at the centre of operations that keep the lights on while supporting the energy transition.

Job Description
  • Lead complex projects and outage delivery, ensuring HSSE and quality standards are met.
  • Provide hands-on support: fault finding, problem solving, and performance optimisation.
  • Manage contractors, scopes of work, and technical/contract specifications.
  • Share best practices across multiple sites to drive efficiency and performance.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
What We\'re Looking For
  • HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of power plant electrical systems: generators, motors, HV transformers, switchgear, HV distribution.
  • Experience in project and contract management, including HSSE compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.

Desirable: Project management qualification (APMP/Prince2), SAP experience, lean/root cause problem-solving knowledge.
