Job summary

Mane Energy is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive electrical design across major infrastructure and industrial programmes in the UK. You will lead design activities, mentor engineers and work with clients from concept through construction to deliver innovative solutions.

You’ll oversee feasibility through to detailed design, coordinating with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery and high-quality standards. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status, or working towards registration.
• Proven experience leading electrical design within industrial, process or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, control systems and design principles.
• Experience producing detailed electrical design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of electrical engineering design packages on complex projects.
• Produce and review key technical deliverables (SLDs, cable block diagrams, load schedules, MCC specs, control philosophies, network architecture).
• Coordinate and support multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Ensure designs comply with standards, regulations and client requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Support project planning, programme delivery and budget management.
• Participate in design reviews, workshops and engineering assurance activities.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to bids and tender submissions.
• Continually improve engineering processes and standards.
