Overview
The Lead Electrical Engineer will oversee and manage electrical operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with industry standards. This role in Radcliffe requires a hands-on professional with a strong background in electrical systems and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of electrical technicians to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to support production goals and resolve technical issues.
- Analyse and troubleshoot electrical faults, providing swift resolutions.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical works, maintenance, and inspections.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skill levels.
Profile
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems within industrial and manufacturing environments.
- A Time served Electrical Apprenticeship
- Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Wiring regulations (16th, 17th or 18th)
- Experience of PLC Fault Finding
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
