Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join Nottingham City Council on a 3-month temporary contract. The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in Nottingham.

You will undertake high-quality electrical work, including prepayment metering upgrades for 5000 domestic properties, plus related installations. Essential qualifications include NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, 18th Edition and AM2, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

Job description

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join Nottingham City Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be required to undertake high-quality electrical work; mechanical installations or associated infrastructure works of a specialist nature on a local and national basis
• Undertake work on the prepayment metering upgrade project for 5000 domestic properties in the City. The work will involve the removal of the old prepayment units and installation of the new prepayment unit, associated commissioning of this and completion of minor works certificates.
• Undertaking all installation works, this could be fitting a router, installing a data logger solution, or installing a heat meter on site and any other associated works as required

Essential Requirements

• NVQ (Or equivalent) Level 3 qualification in an Electrical discipline - Essential
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations & Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2) - Essential
• Able to read and understand technical diagrams and blueprints - Essential
• Experience of working in a customer facing environment - Essential
• Ability to perform acceptance testing on mechanical/electrical products and complete the necessary quality sign off documentation
• Full UK driving licence - Essential
