Qualifications

Lead Electrical Engineer

Our client, a leader in advanced marine technology, is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to drive the design and integration of cutting-edge electrical systems. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of electrical systems: power distribution, motor control, battery management, and charging.

  • Ensure timely, on-budget delivery while maintaining high quality and compliance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems into overall craft design.

  • Own system performance and drive continuous improvement through testing and analysis.

  • Stay current with new technologies and implement innovative solutions.

  • Support prototype builds and oversee testing and validation.

  • Mentor junior engineers and uphold best practices across the team.



Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience).

  • Background in marine, automotive, or aerospace electrical systems.

  • Skilled in CAD tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of DC systems, CAN Bus, power electronics, PLCs, batteries, and motor control.

  • Familiar with industry standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven project delivery and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and a strong communicator.
