Job Title: Lead Electrical Designer
Location: Nottingham (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office)
Salary: Up to £80,000 basic
Hours: 40 hours per week
Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Are you an experienced Electrical Designer with a passion for high voltage systems and ready for your next challenge? We’re currently recruiting for a Lead Electrical Designer to join a forward-thinking organisation based in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on exciting projects while guiding a small team and further developing your career.

The Role:

As Lead Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality high voltage electrical designs.

You’ll work closely with key stakeholders and provide direction to a small team of 2–3 designers. This role is well suited to someone looking to take a step up in their career – previous leadership experience is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the design and development of high voltage electrical systems

* Provide technical guidance and support to a small team of designers

* Collaborate with engineers, project managers and clients to ensure accurate and timely project delivery

* Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards and safety regulations

* Experience in earthing and surge protection is desirable, but not essential

* Strong background in electrical design, with a particular focus on high voltage systems

* Knowledge of earthing and surge protection is beneficial

* Confident communicator with a proactive and collaborative approach

* A desire to progress into or further develop a leadership role
