Job summary

Humber Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead a multidisciplinary in-house design team and coordinate with third-party partners across a broad industrial client base.

Responsibilities include overseeing design resources, running design and project reviews, and driving value engineering while mentoring junior engineers. Experience on major M&E projects and working in regulated environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ideally degree qualified and chartered engineer.
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
• Proven track record on major M&E projects.
• Experience working in regulated environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external design teams and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Review design documentation and manage tender processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and graduate designers.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Coordinate with Construction Team, QA, Cost Control and procurement.
