Job summary

Utilise Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Supervisor in Hertfordshire to oversee maintenance, testing and certification across a varied property portfolio. The role combines hands-on leadership with high standards of safety and regulatory compliance.

You will guide electricians and apprentices, ensure timely, high-quality deliveries, and maintain strict adherence to BS 7671 and industry best practices. Hybrid work options available in a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Installation or equivalent.
• AM2 qualification.
• Completed electrical apprenticeship.
• C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of engineers, supervisors and trainees.
• Act as the technical lead for electrical compliance, testing and certification.
• Carry out site inspections, quality audits and technical reviews.
• Review and approve electrical certification and reports.
• Ensure compliance with BS 7671 and other relevant standards.
• Monitor service delivery against contractual and compliance targets.
• Deliver toolbox talks, mentoring and competency assessments.
• Investigate technical issues, defects and non-conformances.
• Support health & safety compliance and safe working practices.
• Prepare quotations, variations and material requirements where necessary.
