Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer for its Energy unit in the UK. You will lead electrical design for multi-discipline projects within a highly regulated environment, coordinating with Clients and suppliers to ensure technically robust solutions.

Applicants should be Chartered Engineers with a Building Services (Electrical) degree or Electrical Engineering, and proven leadership across design teams.

Qualifications

• Be responsible for review, governance, assurance and approval of electrical building services design solutions.
• Work within multi-disciplinary design teams managing and coordinating delivery of electrical building services design solutions.
• Mentor and guide the electrical building services capability across projects.
• Manage design documents including basis of designs, specifications and surveys.
• Ensure adherence with safety, quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production of estimates for work elements, programme development and manhour costs.
• Coordinate with project managers and Clients across multi-discipline projects.
• Collaborate with team to deliver innovative, technically excellent solutions.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and Building Environmental targets.
• Attend or lead engineering meetings with Clients and other disciplines.
