Job summary

Wildscapes CIC is seeking a Lead Ecologist to deliver ecological surveys and contract work across South Yorkshire and surrounding counties. The role includes providing technical ecological advice to clients and staff to ensure high-quality services.

The successful candidate will work with a team to shape the CIC's activities, specialise in protected species (including bats), and contribute to projects delivering for people, wildlife and the environment.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of general ecological assessment, including Phase 1 Habitat and UKHab.
• Specialise in one or two protected species, specifically bats.
• Experience delivering ecological surveys and related contract work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ecological surveys across South Yorkshire and surrounding counties.
• Provide technical ecological advice to clients and staff.
• Support Wildscapes CIC in delivering ecological services and ensuring quality.
