Job summary

Vets Now in Middlesbrough is seeking a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to lead our Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) service. You will guide a multidisciplinary team, uphold high clinical standards, and drive a culture of excellence in emergency care for pets and clients.

The role combines leadership with hands-on clinical work in a busy, networked ECC setting, with excellent exposure and development opportunities through our AdvantEdge platform and leadership programs.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree (DVM) or equivalent and eligible to practise in the UK.
• Experience leading an ECC/emergency veterinary team is essential.
• Proven ability to mentor junior clinicians and coordinate a fast-paced service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ECC team, setting clinical standards across the clinic.
• Oversee emergency caseload and provide high-quality patient care.
• Support growth, training and wellbeing of the veterinary team.
• Drive service improvement and innovate within the clinic.
